Anuko makes hair care for dry, damaged and color-treated hair, and it had sold over 50,000 jars in Korea. The Amazon.com listing opened in February 2025 and spent seventeen months with no one in the United States behind it, while the company grew at home and in Japan.
The US was not the priority. From April to June 2026 daily Amazon sales held near one level while the founders, Anna Ahn and Yujin Ko, ran the company from Seoul. “Korea and Japan were the business,” says Anna Ahn. “Selling to someone in Ohio was a different job, and nobody on the team had time for it.”
Doing the US properly meant a team in the United States, and the budget for one before anything sold. In July 2026 Anuko went autonomous instead. It brought the product, brand assets and stock, and Light Anchor’s agents ran research, creative, Meta ads and landing pages under Anuko’s name. The founders’ US job narrowed to reading the report.
The agents started with the people who had already bought. They read 4,582 Anuko reviews across every platform and wrote the first ads around what buyers complained about most, from bleach damage to dryness after coloring. The first ads went live on July 7, each with its own landing page and an Amazon Attribution tag, so every purchase traced back to the ad behind it.
“The July report showed me the ad with the best click rate wasn’t the one people were buying from,” Anna says. “I’d never have caught that myself, and the agents had already acted on it.”
Daily Amazon sales doubled in July, nearly tripled in August and reached 14.7 times June’s in September. In the week to October 6 they averaged 54 times June’s. Searches for Anuko on Amazon followed, at 11.9 times the June average in the week of September 20.
The agents ran 158 placements in twelve weeks, and Amazon matched 1,133 purchases to an ad by September 30. Three ads accounted for 46% of the purchases matched through September 6. For October 1–7, Anuko’s 7-day MER was 3.07x.

“September’s report had a number I had to read twice. Nearly fifteen times June, on a listing nobody had touched for a year. The agents had been running it for twelve weeks.”
For Anna and Yujin, the second product is the next test. The agents listed Root Activating Serum on Amazon.com in September and submitted its first ad on the 7th. “Bring the product and the stock,” Anna says, “then read the report.”
Amazon.com sales per day through Oct 6, 2026, over June 2026, read on Oct 9. Seven-day MER covers Oct 1–7, 2026.
