Privacy Policy

Light Anchor, Inc. (“Light Anchor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

“User Data” means any data you submit to us or make available through your connected accounts, including product catalogs, brand assets, and documents. “Service” means Light Anchor's agent-run brand operations (marketing, operations, customer care and research) on the brand's connected accounts, and related services.

We are an early-stage company. This policy is intentionally concise. As our product and practices evolve, we will update this policy and notify you of material changes.

Account information. Name, email address, and organization details you provide when signing up or contacting us.

User Data. Data you submit to us or make available through your connected accounts (e.g., product catalogs, brand assets, documents).

Usage data. Basic analytics such as pages visited, feature interactions, and performance metrics, collected automatically.

Communications. Information you provide when you email us.

Job referral details. Name, email address, the job you chose, and your answers when you submit one of our job referral pages (section 07).

We use Vercel Analytics and PostHog to collect usage data such as page views, feature interactions, referral metadata, and performance metrics. PostHog may use first-party cookies or local storage to distinguish visits and sessions.

We may use strictly necessary cookies to maintain session state and preferences, and limited analytics or conversion tools such as LinkedIn Insight to understand site performance and campaign effectiveness.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Communicate with you about your account or our products
• Respond to your requests and support inquiries
• Generate aggregated, de-identified analytics to improve our platform

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your User Data to train general-purpose AI models unless you provide explicit, prior written consent.

Collection. A selling partner connects Light Anchor through Amazon OAuth and chooses the seller accounts and marketplaces to authorize. Depending on the contracted modules, we process seller-account and marketplace metadata; aggregate sales and traffic; search performance; inventory; listing content and status; non-PII order-status metrics; and financial and settlement summaries. We do not ask for the seller's Amazon password.

Use. We use this Amazon Information only to provide the authorized seller with dashboards, scheduled reporting, alerts, support, and seller-approved listing content workflows. We do not sell Amazon Information or use it to create or sell advertising audiences. We do not use it to train general-purpose AI models.

Buyer information. Light Anchor does not request or retain buyer names, addresses, phone numbers, or shipping-label data for analytics, and it does not contact Amazon buyers.

Storage and protection. Amazon Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, separated by tenant, and available only to authorized personnel and systems with a business need. Amazon authorization credentials are stored as secrets and are not exposed to browser clients.

Sharing. We disclose Amazon Information only to infrastructure sub-processors that host or operate the contracted service, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations, or when required by law. We do not disclose one seller's Amazon Information to another seller.

Retention and deletion. We retain the minimum Amazon Information needed for the contracted reporting period. We permanently and securely delete a seller's Amazon Information, including all live copies, within thirty (30) days of the earliest of: Amazon requiring deletion; the seller revoking authorization or ending our access; our determining that we are no longer authorized; or the end of our participation in Amazon's developer services. Deletion follows industry-standard sanitization practices such as NIST 800-88. We retain Amazon Information beyond that only where it is necessary to meet legal requirements, such as tax or regulatory obligations.

When a Shopify merchant installs the Light Anchor app, we process personal data of the merchant's customers (such as name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and order details) on the merchant's behalf to provide customer service, store management and analytics, and, only if the merchant enables it, to report purchases to Meta using hashed contact details together with IP address and browser information. We do not sell this data. We respect customers' opt-outs of data sale or sharing recorded in Shopify and do not report their purchases to Meta.

We keep order and customer personal data for up to 24 months and abandoned-checkout personal data for up to 90 days, then delete or anonymize it. When a merchant or Shopify asks us to delete a customer's data, or when a merchant uninstalls the app, we delete that personal data; customers can ask the merchant to request access to or deletion of their data. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and access is limited to authorized staff and logged.

Light Anchor is an independent referral partner of micro1, which engages experts for paid contract work. We are not micro1's agent or recruiter. When you submit the form on one of our job pages at bridge.lightanchor.ai, we collect your first name, last name, and email address, the job you chose, and your answers to the page's questions.

We pass your name and email to micro1 so your application starts pre-filled. micro1 handles your application under its own privacy policy, and we may earn a referral fee. We also keep your details to email you about other paid expert roles, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.

We store these details in PostHog, our analytics provider. The Meta pixel on the page receives your name and email hashed in your browser so we can measure our ads. We do not sell them. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, we stop emailing you and delete them within thirty (30) days. To unsubscribe or request access or deletion, email founders@lightanchor.ai.

We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers. Trusted third parties that help us operate (e.g., hosting, analytics), bound by confidentiality obligations.
• AI sub-processors. Your User Data may be processed by third-party AI providers (e.g., large language model APIs) to deliver the Service. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own training or purposes. We evaluate sub-processors for privacy and security compliance before engagement.
• Legal requirements. When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify your data within ninety (90) days, unless retention is required by law. Amazon Information follows the thirty (30) day deletion commitment in section 05, and job referral details follow section 07.

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Reporting an incident. To report a suspected security or privacy incident involving our service, email founders@lightanchor.ai. We investigate every report and notify affected customers and platform partners as our agreements and the law require.

Light Anchor is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. We take steps to ensure your data receives adequate protection in accordance with applicable law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at founders@lightanchor.ai.

California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To submit a request, email founders@lightanchor.ai.

EEA/UK residents: Under the GDPR, you may have additional rights including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at founders@lightanchor.ai.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
